We have some news to share! Our campaign #InMyScrubs, which was implemented in collaboration with  Scout Lab and Jump 450 Media, has won The Drum Awards – Social Purpose, under the Best Social Media Campaign category. This award honors the most innovative efforts in social marketing, including campaigns that prove that the marketing industry has the power to change the world.

The #InMyScrubs Challenge: Influencer Marketing For Social Good

The #InMyScrubs Challenge raised money to buy meals from local restaurants to send to hospitals most impacted by Covid-19, namely in New Jersey and New York. The #InMyScrubs Challenge asked people to post a photo of themselves in their “scrubs” (sweatpants, loungewear) on Instagram to show solidarity for those in their hospital scrubs.

This rapid relief effort was a massive success; accumulating over 30 Million impressions to the hashtag #InMyScrubs since launch, hundreds of influencers posting, and enabling the purchase and delivery of over 50,000 meals to dozens of hospitals most impacted by the pandemic. The initiative was featured in TechCrunch, US Weekly and NBC New York 12. The #InMyScrubs Challenge team then formalized itself as a nonprofit, called Many As One, which has its 501c3 status from the Player’s Philanthropy Fund.

We are so proud of the Open Influence team and our partners for putting together an incredible campaign that inspired good during a challenging time for healthcare professionals. To learn more about influencer marketing for public good, head over to our blog.
