Open Influence took over iconic venue Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills, Calif., April 4 for Open Creators 2023, an invite-only, external-facing event dedicated to recognizing the success of OI’s premium creator network.

“Open Creators is the community we are proud to identify as our trusted creators’ partners. Why? Because we know that we are only as strong as the creators we work with. With the creator economy rapidly growing, it is crucial that we elevate creators who are fully committed to being in the driver’s seat – those not just maintaining their presence but expanding it. With the turnout at Open Creators official release party, we did just that,” says Katie Plattner, Head of Talent Relations.

More than 175 attendees involved with the creator economy, with a combined reach topping 250 million, heard from keynote speaker, Forbes top creator, comedian, and actor Adam Waheed, as well as Ruby Perman, a food artist, content creator, and trendsetter.

“I’m incredibly honored to be a guest speaker and a part of the #OpenCreators community at Open Influence,” Perman said in an Instagram post, “an evening filled with innovation, inspiration, and the power of influence.”

“It’s extremely important that we understand the creators, who they are, what they like to eat, where they like to travel, so we can connect them with the best opportunities that they’d be the most excited to collaborate with, as opposed to sending out cold outreach,” co-founder and chief operating officer Joey Chowaiki said.

Social celebrities in attendance included DJ and music producer Spence, Ugo Mozie, Fabio Farati, and Jarry Lee, and macro celebrities at the event included Markell Washington, Ivan McCombs, and Niko Valdes

They were joined by OI ambassadors—creators with the top campaign counts for OI—such as Karla Lu, Emily Vartanian, Denise and Stephen Otico, and Jacqui Saldaña

Open Influence is only as strong as the creators behind it, and we aim to continue strengthening our relationship with our creator partners through access to premium processes, networking opportunities, and, coming soon, exposure via top-notch creator platforms.

We have offices in Los Angeles, New York, Milan, and London, and our global team of more than 200 has activated campaigns in over 30 countries, working with some of the world’s top brands and taking advantage of preferred partnerships with the top social platforms.

“Everyone from millennials, to older individuals, to Gen-Z, we have grown up with and stuck around following them as their communities have grown over the years,” Chowaiki said. “There’s a much deeper connection between the follower and the talent, which allows the user base to connect at a way deeper level than with a big celebrity.”
