Cristian Garcia didn’t set out to build a platform. People were curious about his family — a little person husband, an average-height wife, bilingual kids, a small farm in an urban neighborhood — and he decided to show them. What followed was a community that keeps growing because what Cristian shares is genuinely rare: a family living fully, on their own terms, with no performance of normalcy required.
His clothing brand is called Puro Pa’delante. Only Forward. That’s the whole philosophy in two words.
Do you remember your first viral video?
Me and my wife dancing together. The world isn’t used to seeing that — a little person husband and an average-height wife. But it was a beautiful thing because it’s different. It took off and did crazy numbers.
How do you decide what to share and what to keep private?
A lot of organic moments — my kids are bilingual, fun, outgoing, and that’s very interesting for the world to see. The more intimate family moments we keep to ourselves.
What advice would you give yourself when you were just getting started?
I was going to make a very big impact on the little people community and the disability community. People have reached out to say we’ve had a positive impact on their lives because they see we’re living a normal life — just like everybody else.
