Influencer marketing is increasingly becoming an integral part of modern travel marketing as more and more consumers seek destination recommendations and travel advice from social media stars they follow and trust. As such, our CEO and co-founder Eric Dahan was invited by our friends over at Discover LA (the official tourism board of Los Angeles) to share our learnings and experience with destination marketing professionals at U.S. Travel Association’s annual learning program – ESTO (Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations) taking place in the gorgeous city of Portland this year. Together with social media analytics expert Dennis Yu, millennial representative Henry Hornecker, and our very own Marianna Hewitt, we explored why influencer marketing is a highly effective form of advertising and how travel marketers can best work with influencers to get the highest return on investment.
